MoBoleez Hat GIVEAWAY!

As promised! Here is our new giveaway! You all are ROCK STARS!

Courtney was lucky enough to receive a MoBoleez Hat to review and one of you will be lucky enough to WIN one!  (OHHHHHHHHHH I love giveaways!)

Below is her review.... but keep in mind her Nummie Lover is just shy of one year old, so adding something new like this can be tricky at this age.

"It is a great theory. When I ordered mine I got the 6-12 month size, thinking that you could just use it for a newborn too and thus extend it's use. But after trying it with a friend who has a newborn, it really doesn't work for heads that small so you would either have to order both sizes or put some removable stitches in the larger one if you are handy like that.  If I were to really use it on a regular basis, I would have wanted to start when Bear was much younger so that he would be used to it by now. Introducing it to a one year old just gave him something to play with and pull off/throw across the room. :)
But I think if he had been used to NIPing with it all along he would just leave it there and go about his business, and it would have helped with the whole distraction issue because it blocks his view of what the world is doing as well as blocking the worlds view of what he is doing. It's more discreet than throwing a blanket over your shoulder but doesn't give you the security that a shawl would, as an older child can pull it off. It does offer plenty of coverage though and it's a great conversation piece. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is still establishing nursing because it blocks moms view of whats going on down there, so it really is for a more "experienced" nursing pair. All in all I think it's a good product. As an added bonus, it's great for a game of peek-a-boo and I think it's really cute as a novelty item."

and the PINK question is........ Do you cover up when you nurse in public?

A big thank you goes to Natural Parenting Atlanta for sponsoring this giveaway.

  1. I entered :) And the answer to the pink question: Nope. I tried in the past, but she hates her cover and screams which brings even more attention to me. I figure, if they don't like what they are seeing they can look away. My daughter needs to eat lol :)

  2. I entered! Pink question: I tried to use a cover that went around my neck like a big apron, but he would get SO hot under it and I thought it was more attention drawing than not using it at all. So now I try to find a quiet area that's out of the way. I also throw a light blanket or burp rag over his shoulders or top of his seems to work for us and most people can't tell if he's eating or sleeping.

  3. I'm a Facebook fan and e-mail follower. As a father, I don't often have the opportunity to nurse my son. My wife is still looking for a good public nursing cover that doesn't overheat the poor baby.

I am a fb fan and subscribed to email updates! I nursed my daughter until she was 1 and my 17 month old son is still nursing. I have NEVER used a nursing cover and nurse just anywhere and everywhere! I think my kids would have been really confused if I had tried to cover them while nursing! Besides, what is sweeter than looking into your child's eyes while they nurse! <3

  5. I try to cover as much boob skin as possible with my shirt, burp cloth, or hand. My boobs are pale and bigger than my daughters head so I try to hide the one out as much as possible! NO blanket type cover up has ever worked for me or any of my 4 kids! I follow blog, gfc & fb too :)

    filled out form ;)

  6. I am posting this for Tara...she was having trouble posting her answer to the pink question...

"awesome thank you! my answer for the pink question is yes i covered up when nursing in public. it made me feel more comfortable- there was times my daughter didnt want to be covered so i would sit in the car with her. that was just my preference!"

  7. I'm a FB Fan, I totally just subscribed, and I'm entering the contest.

Pink question answer: it totally depends. In "real" public, I used to, but totally gave up most of the time. Sometimes I try, but he's not a big fan.

If I'm around people I sort of know... I do cover up, I know it makes them uncomfortable, but I want it to be normal to nurse around anyone any time.

  8. I entered the contest, and I already follow NPA and Mummies Nummies on FB. I just grabbed your button to link up on my blog.

Pink question: I don't use any cover when I nurse in public, but my shirt usually does the trick. My son pulls all blankets or burp cloths off, but I bet he would wear that adorable hat.

  9. I filled out the form, but here's my answer to the pink question ^_^

I usually wear a nursing tank under a regular shirt so I'm covered and discreet, but I also have a bad to the bone moboleez that we've used a few times and it works well for my baby that refuses to stay latched if you use a normal cover/blanket.
