Facebook deletes a hippo watching breastfeeding photo

Yes.....you read that correctly. Facebook removed a fellow Mummie's facebook account because............she had a photo of her nursing her son......while a real live hippo watched from her tank!

I am a  friend of Lynn's on my personal facebook page... and she is a member of Mummies Nummies.  I have to say I am once again shocked by Facebook's reaction! Lynn received an email (giving her a two hour warning) stating that this photo was deemed obscene. Yeah.... because a (FEMALE) hippo watching a human breastfeed her son is soooooooooooooooo offensive!

I am happy to announce that 24 hours after being shut down... Lynn's page was given CPR and was brought back to life! (Thank you Facebook hero's!!!) In an email a worker from Facebook apologized and stated that she was shut down by accident. Oh really? Well what ever the reason... welcome back Lynn! I love this photo and I am so glad it is back!!!!!!! Just in case you want to see the HORRIBLY OFFENSIVE photo.... check it out! But I warn you.... it is just sooooo graphic! I mean really! The hippo should have put on some panties or something!

  3. I love the photo and I am SO glad that Lynn is back!! :) YAY!! I HATE though, how facebook ALWAYS blames these things on a "glitch" or an "accident" knowing full doggone well why it was really removed :( UGH!

  4. This is an amazing photo! Please, please, please ask your friend to consider letting me add it to www.youcanbreastfeedhere.com. (I'm assuming this is at a public spot, and not in her backyard!) I will of course include a photo credit.

Just so cool. . . even if she doesn't want to share it. :)
